Language Immersion Infant Care, Pre-enrolling for Fall 2026

Are you an expecting parent or planning ahead for your baby's first educational home-away-from-home? We invite new and expecting parents to tour our facilities and discover the exceptional care we provide.
Join us on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm, for the opportunity to secure your spot for upcoming enrollment. Meet our CEO and founder, Dory Hobbs, and discover how language immersion from infancy can set your baby up for lifelong success.
To support families at every stage, we’re offering two tailored experiences during the event:
9:30 am – 10:15 am
For babies ages 12 months – 2 years.
Enjoy a gentle, engaging story time led by our immersion educators. This experience highlights how language, music, and connection come together in our infant and toddler classrooms through play-based learning.
10:30 am – 12:00 pm
For pregnant parents & parents with newborn babies
Take a guided tour of our infant environments, meet our leadership team, and learn how language immersion from birth supports early brain development, bonding, and lifelong learning. This tour is designed to give expecting families confidence as they plan ahead.

Research has shown that early childhood is the most effective time to gain fluency, and babies’ brains are in the optimal stage for learning native pronunciation in more than one language. At Atlas, we pride ourselves on exposing children to new languages through play, structured environments, and routines. Absorbing a second language during infancy enhances memory, multitasking, self-expression, and much more later on.
Unique aspects for your baby at Atlas Immersion Silicon Forest
Full language immersion
Teachers speak to your child in French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. In our Infant Suite classrooms, the emphasis is on each child’s unique stage of development, and less on which language “track” the family will choose for the toddler years and beyond.
No extra costs!
We’ve got you covered! There’s no extra cost for essentials like diapers and wipes! Classrooms are stocked with everything your child needs to be happy, healthy, cozy, and comfortable all day long! We provide organic purees and cereals once babies transition to solid foods, and we are experts on navigating this transition with parents.

A Calendar Full Of Fun & Informative Events for the whole family! From monthly culturally-inspired potlucks to virtual parent education presentations with experts, there are many ways to feel like your family truly belongs at Atlas!
Enriching activities
Your baby relies on a varied sensory diet to boost their cognitive development. Music, baby signing, a sensory garden, dance, and outdoor play twice a day help your baby express themselves while learning new skills and having fun!
Who Is Atlas Immersion?
Established by Dory Hobbs and operated as a family-owned business since 2010, Atlas Immersion Academy has expanded from its origins as a single French immersion childcare center to encompass five Language Immersion-based Child Development Centers across the greater Portland metro area.
Our Silicon Forest location provides nurturing care for children aged 3 months to 12 years, with language immersion options available in French, Spanish, and Mandarin.
At Atlas, we advocate for an innovative approach that fosters a bright and positive beginning for children, emphasizing both exploration and emotional intelligence alongside the development of friendships.
